Enjoying God’s Presence: Session 7- Trust: Walk by the Spirit

Since Jesus rose from the dead and went to be with the Father, the Holy Spirit has been dwelling in every believer that has accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. He’s our connection to Jesus, but he’s more than a conduit; he is actively involved in every aspect of our lives, every area that we allow him to be, that is. Let’s see how we can cooperate with him!

If you haven’t watched the videos from the last sessions you can do so by scrolling down to the previous posts.

After watching the video, please take a stab at the questions below and reply in the Comments section of this post and let us know what you think. You can ask a question or two as well.

Have you received much teaching about the Holy Spirit or is his role in your life something you have not been aware of?

Knowing that God is not far away but resides in us through the Holy Spirit, how should that affect the way we live?

Dive In!
Most of the churches I attended earlier in my life did not mention the Holy Spirit very much. These verses helped me to get a feel for how to relate with him:

I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever–the Spirit of truth. (John 14:16, 17a)

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. (John 14:26)

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
(1 Corinthians 3:16)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
